Safe Space NOVA is dedicated to providing a safe, accepting, and supportive environment to combat social stigmas, bullying, and other challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth. Our goal is to ensure that 14–18 year old LGBTQ+ youth in the Northern Virginia area have access to an organization and activities that promote equality. 

To achieve this, Safe Space NOVA aims to implement the following objectives and strategies:

• Programs
  1. Develop recreational, educational and wellness initiatives for LGBTQ+ youth.
  2. Collaborate with local organizations to support LGBTQ+ youth.
• Crisis Services
  1. Maintain relationships with key suicide prevention associations.
  2. Establish a crisis service for LGBTQ+ youth.
• Education
  1. Foster relationships and train local communities, families, and peers of youth on the issues LGBTQ+ youth experience.
  2. Provide resources about suicide prevention, bullying, harassment, discrimination and violence against LGBTQ+ youth.
• Advocacy
  1. Increase the profile of the social, economical and legal rights of LGBTQ+ youth.
  2. Partner with advocacy organizations.
